Luckily the recent heat wave abated and Sport Day got underway in pleasantly cool conditions. The morning activities included egg and spoon, the sack race, cricket, basketball, javelin and football to name just a few. Everyone joined in with enthusiasm and great team spirit, cheering each other on and supporting one another.

Marie Curie house won the Sport Day cup at Key Stage One and Winston Churchill house won at Key Stage Two.

After a lovely picnic lunch with our families, the track races were lots of fun. The Key Stage Two children competed in a cross country race around the school grounds before the finals of the 100m sprints for each class. To finish the day, we all had a laugh with the staff and parent egg and spoon race! Thank you to all the parents and carers who came and supported the day, it was wonderful to see so many people there enjoying themselves.
