The Mead Nursery
New Nursery at The Mead Primary School
We are delighted to confirm that The Mead School will be opening a nursery with effect from September 2017. This is a very exciting time for The Mead community and will help us provide the much needed support to our working parents. Building has commenced during the Easter Holidays and we look forward to seeing it develop over the coming weeks! We will be offering a nursery which closely matches the school calendar. It will also be available on selected days during the holidays (Puffins Holiday Club). Holiday provision will be shared with Castle Mead Nursery and could be based at either site.
The Government is introducing an extended offer of 30 hours free entitlement to those children who are eligible for three year old funding and where parents meet the criteria. If you would like to check your eligibility, please visit the following website www.gov.uk/childcare-calculator.
We will be welcoming children to join our nursery during the term that they are turning three years old, until they are of school age. We will also have limited places available during each session for two year olds. Please note that having a place at The Mead Nursery does not entitle a child to a place at The Mead Primary School and you will need to follow guidelines set out by Wiltshire Council and apply as per their current criteria.
Please click here to view an ‘Expression of Interest’ Form which details session timings and fees that we intend to offer. If you would like your child to attend the nursery from September, please complete and return this form to the school office by 5th May 2017. This does not guarantee you a place, however we will do our best to accommodate your needs and contact will be made with you as soon as we are in a position to offer places.
