The children in year 2 had extra fun in Golden Time this week after the success of their assembly to their parent earlier in the week.
The children shared all their learning from the term so far in response to their enquiry question ‘Can art tell a story?’ The children shared extracts of their creative story writing using the art work of Brian Wildsmith and The Lady of Shalott’ by John William Waterhouse. They performed a pollination dance and used drama to show the lifecycle of a butterfly. They were proud to display their observational drawings but the highlight had to be the ‘Tiger Tango’ where the children not only sang, but danced and played percussion instruments. The applause they received was magnificent and we all felt very proud to be in Year 2!
