Memories

After 15 years, we have some amazing memories of school life that we’d like to share with you.

My relationship with the school started 13 years ago when my oldest daughter started school there and I have spent a lot of the last 13 years getting involved in the school in all sorts of ways. It has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.  I never really enjoyed school and becoming part of The Mead School and its community was a real eye opener for me.  Meeting and working with the amazing and hugely professional staff, the lovely children and their families has really changed my life.  That might sound a bit dramatic but it’s true.  I have learnt so much about education,  and how great it can be, by getting involved as a parent, governor and a Friend of the Mead.  I have met some great people through the ‘Friends’ many I now call friends but I have also learnt about the power of community.  My 4 children enjoy(ed) school and with 3 now at secondary school I know that what they learnt at the Mead has played a huge role in their successes after their left The Mead.  They think fondly of primary school and have so much confidence that I am grateful to The Mead for giving them  a great  ‘primary education’.  I know that nowhere is perfect but what I know about the school is that they genuinely want to do the very best for every child and work incredibly hard to achieve that.
