We had a very special visitor in Swallows class this week, Mr Copland-Griffiths, who came to talk to us about toys from the past. He brought in an amazing variety of toys that were over a hundred years old and were enjoyed during the end of the Victorian era. He showed us how they worked and we were fascinated by the chicken that laid an egg as well as the carousel horse toy that spun around and jumped over a fence. We especially loved the early cinema experience of seeing early animation.

We also saw some toys that he played with as a child, such as his castle, kaleidoscope, Cluedo and a card game.
