Children from Year 6 took part in an event to commemorate the end of WW1. Children wrote a song last year and they performed this song called ‘It’ll All Be Over By Christmas’. The words of the song were written by a local choir leader whose grandfather lost his life at the Somme in 1915.
Each child was awarded a certificate of commendation for being part of a project entitled ‘Never Such Innocence’, this was awarded by Dr Andrew Murrison, MP for South West Wiltshire and the Prime Ministers Special Representative for the centenary of the WW1. As well as singing the children had an opportunity to sit in a tank!
